COVID-19 UPDATE: July 29

On July 29, Alberta Health Services confirmed 133 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 10,603.

It was also reported that three people passed away. 190 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 533 cases of COVID-19 and 17 people have passed away.

There are currently 114 active cases in our zone with 57 cases in Mackenzie County and six in Clear Hills County.

AHS is reporting that 8,983 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,430 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
