COVID-19 UPDATE: July 24

On July 24, Alberta Health Services confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 10,086.

It was also reported that two people passed away. 178 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 480 cases of COVID-19 and 17 people have passed away.

There are currently 90 active cases in our zone with 45 cases in Mackenzie County, nine in Clear Hills County and five cases in the Municipal District of Greenview.

AHS is reporting that 8,567 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,341 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
