COVID-19 UPDATE: July 17

On July 17, Alberta Health Services confirmed 105 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 9,219.

It was also reported that two people  passed away in the last 24 hours. 167 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 410 cases of COVID-19 and 17 people have passed away.

There are currently 64 active cases in our zone with 27 cases in Mackenzie County, and eight in Clear Hills County.

AHS is reporting that 8,193 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 859 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
