The provincial government says some restrictions will be relaxed as of Monday, January 18.
Personal wellness businesses – such as salons and tattoo parlours, for example – can serve customers by appointment only.
The province is also permitting outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people, provided everyone can maintain a two metre distance and wear a mask.
Funeral services are allowed a maximum of 20 people but receptions are not allowed.
The remainder of the restrictions are still in effect.

On January 14, Alberta Health Services confirmed 967 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 114,585.
21 people passed away, which means 1,389 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 8,619 cases of COVID-19 and 83 people have passed away, including three people in the latest update.
There are currently 1,635 active cases in our zone with 159 in Big Lakes County, 89 in the MD of Greenview, 80 in the MD of Peace, 58 in Northern Sunrise County, 29 in Mackenzie County, five Saddle Hills County, while all other jurisdictions in our area have three or less active cases.
AHS is reporting that 100,762 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 12,434 active cases across Alberta.
Outbreaks have been declared at the following facilities:
- Heimstaed Lodge, LaCrete
- High Prairie Health Complex
- Peace River Correctional Facility
- Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, McLennan
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
