
On August 4, Alberta Health Services confirmed 303 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 96 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 11,146.
It was also reported that five people passed away. 201 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 604 cases of COVID-19 and 17 people have passed away.
There are currently 115 active cases in our zone with 57 cases in Mackenzie County.
AHS is reporting that 9,754 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 1,191 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
