On August 26, Alberta Health Services confirmed 127 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 13,210.
No deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, but 235 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 838 cases of COVID-19 and 27 people have passed away.
There are currently 137 active cases in our zone with 54 cases in Mackenzie County, 10 cases in the Clear Hills County and six in the County of Northern Lights.
AHS is reporting that 11,799 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 1,176 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
