COVID-19 UPDATE: August 25

On August 25, Alberta Health Services confirmed 77 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 13,083.

One person has passed away in the last 24 hours.

235 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 825 cases of COVID-19 and 28 people have passed away.

There are currently 134 active cases in our zone with 49 cases in Mackenzie County, 10 cases in the County of Northern Lights and Clear Hills County, and five in the MD of Peace.

AHS is reporting that 11,714 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 1,134 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
