On August 12, Alberta Health Services confirmed 121 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 11,893.
It was also reported that one people passed away. 217 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 680 cases of COVID-19 and 21 people have passed away.
There are currently 111 active cases in our zone with 55 cases in Mackenzie County.
AHS is reporting that 10,632 people have recovered from the virus.
This means that there are currently 1,044 active cases across Alberta.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
