On April 8th, Alberta Health Services confirmed 50 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 1,423.
There are 95 cases of COVID-19 in the north zone and four people have passed away.
29 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
AHS is reporting that 519 people have recovered from the virus.
The province reports that 44 Albertans are currently in hospital, and 19 people are in the intensive care unit.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
