COVID-19 Update: April 29

On April 29, Alberta Health Services confirmed 315 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 5,165.

It was also reported that seven people passed away, all in the Calgary Zone.

87 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 205 cases of COVID-19 and 14 people have passed away.

AHS is reporting that 1,953 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 3,125 active cases across Alberta.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
