On April 20th, Alberta Health Services confirmed 105 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 2,908.

Mackenzie County says AHS told officials that two of the new cases are in the LaCrete area.

According to the county, there are currently a total of seven active cases in that neighbourhood.

No new deaths were announced but so far, 59 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.

In the North Zone, there are 143 cases of COVID-19 and nine people have passed away, including a resident at the Manoir du lac continuing-care centre in McLennan.

AHS is reporting that 1,230 people have recovered from the virus.

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
