Two familiar faces will lead the council of the County of Saddle Hills.
Council voted unanimously to appoint Councillor Alvin Hubert as Reeve, and Councillor Kristen Smith as Deputy Reeve this morning.
Hubert, who represents ward two, has been Saddle Hills’ County Reeve since 2013, while Smith has held the Deputy Reeve’s chair since 2015. She represents ward three.
“We have lots of good things ahead of us this year and a great opportunity to make things better for our residents,” said Hubert.
The seven member county council is elected by its residents, and then council appoints the Reeve, Deputy Reeve, as well as assigns roles to councillors for various committees.
