On Saturday June 19, 2021, the community of the Chateh experienced severe flooding and part of Highway 58 washed out. Many homes are sitting in pools of water and many dirt/gravel roads have washed out.

Many people living in Chateh had to evacuate due to the flooding and the Dene Tha First Nation is asking for donations for evacuees. The drop off location is at the Four Chiefs Complex in Bushe River, and supplies will be delivered to Chateh.

According to a Facebook post; High Level Forestry, fire-tack crews and volunteers helped berm the water on Monday June 21, 2021.
