They are fighting the situaion by starting to talk to higher-ups.
Business leaders and municipal officials have met with the Provincial Government addressing the crime and homelessness in the area.
One leader taking part in the process is Peace River and District Chamber of Commerce president Layne Gardner.
He says collaborations are being undertaken.
He also says the situation is being addressed, but patience is needed.
