BC Man dead after Hwy 43 collision

Grande Prairie RCMP  – UPDATE- on scene of multi vehicle collision

Bezanson, Alta – Grande Prairie RCMP have cleared the scene of a fatal collision on Highway 43 that occurred earlier today, May 2, 2022.

At approximately 4:30 PM Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a report of a collision on Highway 43 at Highway 670 near the town of Bezanson. A car travelling eastbound on Highway 43 collided with a semi. The lone occupant of the car, a 25-year-old man from Surrey BC was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation into the cause of the collision is continuing with assistance of an RCMP Collision Analyst. Traffic flow has returned to normal in the area.

Bezanson, Alta. – Grande Prairie RCMP officers are currently on scene at Highway 670 and Highway 43 near the town of Bezanson, Alta. For a collision involving a semi-truck and a small car partially blocking the roadway. RCMP are advising motorists travelling in the area to expect delays for an extended period of time as police investigate this incident. RCMP are asking motorists to please consider choosing an alternate route.
