RCMP are investigating an alleged sexual assault that happened in La Crete earlier this week.
Officers in Fort Vermilion received a report at around 4 AM on Sunday.
Upon arrival to scene, the officers received further information that a 24-year-old female was sleeping when she heard an unknown noise outside her residence, leading her to go outside.
Once outside, an unknown male then approached her, pushing her to the ground and inappropriately touched her.
The subject then immediately fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The Fort Vermilion RCMP are looking to identify the male described as approximately 5’7” in height, with a medium build and wears glasses.
RCMP are also requesting anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area of La Crete in the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 11th, to please contact the Fort Vermilion RCMP at 780-927-3258.
