Today our thoughts at Peace River Broadcasting are with a Peace River Icon.
Agnes Lovsin passed away yesterday at the age of 85.

Agnes and her husband Frank Lovsin spent 58 years calling Peace River home.

Agnes was an integral part of the community.
As a very busy mother she was a big part of the Figure Skating Club for over 10 years as a judge and then club president, spent over 15 years as the hockey arena food booth co-coordinator, was involved with the Brownies, Ukrainian Dance, Track Meets, Baseball, Minor Hockey, School, and in any other way that she could support the area.

Those closest to her knew just how much she cared for her family, friends, and community.
She enjoyed regular visits to TJ’s Restaurant, spent having lively discussions, and making wonderful memories.
The lucky ones may have also got to enjoy a piece of her world-famous Christmas Fruitcake, or any of her other incredible dishes or desserts. She loved spending time in the kitchen, and in her garden.

Frank also points out that he couldn’t have built Freson Bros. without her being by his side for every step of the way.
As a team they created an incredible company, and watched it grow for the past 65 years.

Agnes’s stamp on the community and it’s people will always be remembered.

Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
