RCMP officers are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision with pedestrian.
Early yesterday morning, police in Clairmont received reports of a male sitting on highway 43.
Once they got to the scene just east of Grande Prairie, they discovered that the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle, possibly a semi-truck, who did not remain on scene.
Officers from Valleyview set up roadblocks, but were unable to find the suspect vehicle.
Investigation has revealed that a semi-truck hauling a van trailer was traveling East on Highway 43 and stopped at the scene but left prior to officers arriving.
RCMP are looking to speak to the driver and are also looking for anyone who may have some dashcam footage of the incident.
