On January 2, 2025 at approximately 8:20 AM Peace Regional RCMP to a vehicle theft report near 99 in Peace River.
Utilizing the vehicle’s GPS, officers located it traveling at high speed, nearly colliding with RCMP members.
The pursuit led to Dixonville, Alberta, where officers followed tracks into a field and apprehended 34-year-old Tyler Wayne Roherty of Grande Prairie.
Roherty faces multiple charges, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, dangerous driving, and flight from a police officer.
He was remanded in custody with a court date set for February 9, 2026, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
