  1. The town of High Level is seeking input from residents on the upcoming Budget.
    The Budget will be for the next three years and officials are saying it will shape thoughts and priorities for that timeframe.
  2. The Alberta Pond Hockey Championships is changing venues for this year.
    Officials are announcing that because of poor ice conditions at Lac Cardinal, the games are being played at the Mile Zero Multiplex.
  3. The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division is informing parents, students, teachers, and stakeholders that the annual Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance Survey is now available.
    The Survey collects feedback on the quality of education in the Division, and helps shape the future of the Division, and across the province.
  4. The North Peace Commercial Driving Academy is celebrating success in their first year of operation.
    The Academy, parented by the Peace River School Division, achieved a 92% First-time Pass rate, since launching in June of 2024.
  5. Thousands of Alberta government employees returned to work in their offices full time yesterday.
    Sunday marked the official end of the province’s hybrid-work option, which was implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  6. A second recall petition to oust a member of Alberta’s legislature has failed after falling well short of the required signatures.
    The petitions against Demetrios Nicolaides and Angela Pitt have not received enough signatures.
  7. The NWJHL has schedules out for the quarter-final series, which start this week.
    First round match-ups and schedules are on the App.
  8. The 2026 Winter Olympics are set to get started in Milan and Cortina D’Ampezzo Italy.
    Competitions start early tomorrow morning, with the 8-hour time difference.
    The Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for Friday.
  9. Three Canadian teams are in action in a 7-game NHL schedule tonight.
    Toronto is in Edmonton, and Ottawa is in Carolina. The NHL Olympic Break starts on Friday.
  10. A few flurries, possibly mixed with some Freezing Rain is scheduled for the Peace and Mackenzie this afternoon.
    The Big Lakes deals with a mix of sun and cloud.
    Highs are hanging around zero, except for around -5 in the Mackenzie.
    Tomorrow should be the warmest day, before things cool off later in the week.
