  2. Authorities around the Peace Region are sharing ideas to stay safe on the internet and social media, heading into the holidays.
  3. It’s the last call to purchase tickets, if there are any left for the Misery Mountain Truck Raffle.
    The draw is tomorrow night at Snow Fest, which is at the Ski Chalet, and a few tables may be left.
  4. The Privacy Commissioner of both Alberta and Ontario are finding a lot of similarities, with concerns to the Powerschool breach at the beginning of the year.
  5. The union representing thousands of Alberta health-care workers are back at the bargaining table with AHS after a strike was announced Wednesday morning.
  6. The Canadian Olympic Curling Trials begin tomorrow in Halifax. Nampa’s Kayla Skrlik is in the field, and plays her first draw tomorrow morning.
  7. Rosters have been finalized for the start of the 2026 PWHL season. Spirit River’s Dayle Ross, a draft pick of the New York Sirens, will be starting the year on the team’s Long Term Injured Reserve. Ross is continuing to recover from a torn ACL.

  9. NPHL this weekend… High Prairie is in Manning and Dawson Creek is in Valleyview tonight.
    Valleyview is in Falher, Spirit River is in Fox Creek, and FSJ is in Grande Prairie tomorrow.
  10. AEHL this weekend… The U-13’s play tomorrow in High prairie and Sunday in Falher. The U-15’s play tonight and tomorrow in FSJ.
    The U-18’s play tonight in Grimshaw, and tomorrow in High Prairie.
  11. NJHL this weekend… The High Prairie Red Wings play tonight in Athabasca.
  12. AJHL this weekend… The Grande Prairie Storm play tonight at home to Canmore.
  13. Fishing season has hit the Peace and Big Lakes for the next 48 hours as skies will clear out this afternoon. The wind will pick up as well, with highs above 5 degrees.
    The Mackenzie will also clear out this afternoon, but not be as windy, or as warm, with highs only around zero. Temps will cool down, come the beginning of the week.
