CAEC Program – Looking for a fresh start? The G.E.D. has been replaced with the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC)—a made-in-Canada option designed for adults who don’t have a high school diploma. Northern Lakes College offers CAEC testing at select campuses.
Pre-Employment – Pre-employment programs at Northern Lakes College provide the skill set needed to enter the workforce and become an apprentice. Learn first year apprenticeship theory, receive your safety tickets, and obtain on the job training. This January, NLC is offering Pre-Employment Carpenter in High Level and Pre-Employment Heavy Equipment Technician in La Crete. Starting in February, take Pre-Employment Industrial Mechanic in High Prairie and Pre-Employment Pipe Trades in Wabasca with Student Housing available.
