Sport and Recreation getting provincial grant money

alberta-government-5

Alberta’s government is investing in sport and recreation facilities to promote active living and well-being across the province.

Through the Active Communities Initiative, communities are receiving funding to build and revitalize spaces like rinks, courts, and multi-use centers, fostering healthy lifestyles for all ages.

Minister of Tourism and Sport, Andrew Boitchenko, emphasized the importance of these projects, stating, “I am proud to support projects that help Albertans live healthier and more active lives.”

The initiative is projected to serve up to a million residents, stimulate over $60 million in economic activity, and create employment opportunities.
