On October 12 2025, Red Earth Creek Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Public Works building in Loon Lake, Alberta.
The building was completely destroyed, resulting in thousands of dollars in damages.
Following an investigation, 37-year-old Reba Noskiye of Trout Lake First Nation was arrested charged with causing damage to a structure by fire, break and enter, two counts of resisting police, and mischief over $5,000.
Noskiye was remanded into custody and appeared before the Alberta Court of Justice in Slave Lake on October 15, 2025.
