On September 17, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Fox Lake RCMP responded to reports of a disturbance and discovered 52-year-old Delbert Noskiye of Fort Vermilion, Alberta, injured at the scene.
Despite medical efforts, Noskiye was pronounced deceased.
A second individual involved in the incident sustained injuries but has since recovered.
Following an investigation, RCMP arrested 36-year-old Sammy Alook of Garden River, 32-year-old Brendan Alook of Fox Lake, and a 17-year-old youth.
All three have been charged with second-degree murder and assault causing bodily harm.
The youth is scheduled to appear in court on October 6, 2025, while the adults are set to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Fort Vermilion on October 14, 2025.
