PR RCMP looking for identification of suspect in B&E – UPDATE

Peace Regional RCMP have arrested a suspect in connection with a break and enter that occurred last week.

A person broke into the Subway resturant and stole various snack and drink items.

With assistance from the Forensic Identification Service, Mounties identified a suspect captured via video footage.

Twenty-three-year-old Peace River resident Tanner Hatter is facing a combined five charges for his break-in and a subsequent shoplifting incident.

Background

On September 5, 2025, Peace Regional RCMP officers on proactive patrol in downtown Peace River discovered evidence of a break-in at a business on 100 Street.

Upon entering and clearing the premises, they found no one inside.

Surveillance footage revealed a male suspect breaking the front glass doors, stealing various snack and drink items, and fleeing eastbound.

The suspect is described as light-skinned, approximately 5’6″ to 5’10”, wearing a ball cap, dark jacket, tan pants, black and white Puma-style shoes, and a face covering.

He appears to have short or tucked-in light-colored hair.

Peace Regional Forensic Identification Services have processed the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.

RCMP are seeking public information.
