On August 9, 2025, a High Prairie RCMP officer conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 2, east of High Prairie, clocked a vehicle traveling at 207/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The driver, a 23-year-old male from Fairview, Alberta, was issued two court summons for careless driving and speeding.
Constable Stephen Zuk of the High Prairie RCMP Detachment emphasized the dangers of such excessive speeds, noting that reduced reaction times and unexpected maneuvers can endanger all road users.
The RCMP continues its traffic enforcement efforts to ensure roadway safety.
