Grimshaw Council voted to continue its role on the Peace Regional Mental Health Task Force after an update from Deputy Mayor Stacey Messner.
The task force aims to improve access to mental health and addiction supports in rural areas.
A major success was Resolution B4—led by Grimshaw and passed with over 93% support at the 2023 Alberta Municipalities Convention—boosting collaboration between the RCMP, local governments, and service agencies to better address addictions, homelessness, and mental health in the region.
