At their latest meeting, Berwyn Village Council approved an updated Recreational Equipment Rental Policy, broadening access for community groups while tightening liability and insurance rules.
Council also set October 17, 2025, for a tax recovery auction, with CAO Jatin Saini appointed auctioneer and reserve bids based on 2024 market values.
Council is addressing unclaimed items at the Berwyn Arena, directing staff to dispose of any remaining equipment after August 10.
Talks are also underway to source outdoor rink boards from nearby municipalities.
A resident delegation raised concerns about a utility account, which Council asked staff to investigate.
Council also wants to collaborate with the Community Garden Society to maintain flower boxes using Community Grant funds.
New signage will go up at the Village office emphasizing zero tolerance for staff abuse and noting video surveillance.
Lastly, potential projects for 2025 LGFF funding include sidewalk repairs, a bike park, and an outdoor rink.
