nwpolytechnic

Northwestern Polytechnic is enhancing its Spartan Controls Northwestern Centre for Industrial Automation and Innovation with a $250,000 contribution from AltaGas.

This funding will establish the AltaGas Collaboration Corner, a dedicated space within the 15,565-square-foot facility designed to foster student connection and support.

Scheduled to open in September 2025, the centre aims to provide a state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment.

NWP President and CEO, Dr. Vanessa Sheane, highlighted the partnership as a prime example of industry and education collaboration to develop the next generation of skilled workers.

AltaGas’s Operations Manager for Northwest Alberta, Jamie Thibault, emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in people and potential, aligning with their core values of collaboration, inclusion, and learning.

The AltaGas Collaboration Corner is set to welcome students in Fall 2025.
