The Spraying portion of the crop season is underway in the fields and are close to being done, if it isn’t already.
Taking inventory, checking for unwanted visitors, like pests, weeds and fungus, and monitoring conditions in the soil and in the skies, are what the farmer is looking for when at this portion of the schedule.
The Canola Council of Canada is aiding farmers in providing tips when spraying in tough conditions.
Things like heat, dampness, invasive species, drought, and smoke are a few of the detriments that farmers can encounter, when trying to produce the best yield.
The bottom line is that everyone is praying for a good season, leading up to the Harvest in the Fall.
