Fairview RCMP arrest two on warrants

On May 29, 2025, Fairview RCMP, assistance from the community and the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, located and arrested Jesse William Jackson, who had outstanding warrants for flight from police, dangerous operation, and two counts of driving while prohibited.

Jackson was subsequently charged with additional offenses, including driving while prohibited, failing to comply with release conditions, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a valid certificate of registration, and knowingly operating a motor vehicle with a cancelled or suspended registration.

After a judicial interim release hearing, Jackson was remanded to attend the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on June 2, 2025.

During the course of this investigation, Richard John Strong was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Peace River for assault while choking, theft under $5,000, and failing to attend court.

Following a judicial interim release hearing, Strong was released to attend the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River on June 9, 2025.

Additionally, RCMP recovered one stolen vehicle and seized two firearms, one of which had been altered and was classified as prohibited.
