HFCRD appoints new Superintendent

The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) has announced that Victoria Cornick will assume the role of Superintendent on August 1, 2025.

Cornick, a 20-year veteran of the division, began her career in 2005 at St. Stephen’s School in Valleyview, serving as a teacher and later as Assistant Principal.

She subsequently held principal positions at Holy Family School in Grimshaw, Good Shepherd School in Peace River, and Glenmary School in Peace River.

In August 2024, she transitioned to Central Office as Assistant Superintendent of Human Services.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Cornick stated, “I am honoured and excited to step into the role of Superintendent for a division that has been my home for the past 20 years.”

HFCRD Board Chair Kelly Whalen praised her appointment, highlighting her extensive experience and commitment to the division’s future.

Outgoing Superintendent Betty Turpin, who announced her retirement in November 2024, commended Cornick’s exceptional leadership and passion for Catholic education.
