On May 10, 2025, Faust RCMP attempted to stop a stolen vehicle near Joussard.
The driver evaded police, attempting to ram several RCMP vehicles.
Despite assistance from High Prairie RCMP and Grande Prairie Police Dog Services, the suspects initially escaped.
On May 12, authorities located the suspects barricaded in a Driftpile Cree Nation residence.
After negotiations, both were arrested. Daniel Tanner Bigcharles, 29, and Kirsten Isadore, 22, face multiple charges, including assault with a weapon and possession of stolen property.
Isadore was released on conditions, while Bigcharles remains in custody.
Court appearances are scheduled for May 14 and June 2.
