
Alberta Health Services has announced new potential measles exposures, including in Peace River.
In a statement they put out last night, AHS says the potential exposure happened at the Peace River Community Health Centre Emergency Department between 9:20 pm on April 15, and 1 am on April 16.
According to AHS, measles symptoms include:
– Fever;
– Cough, runny nose and/or red eyes; and
– A rash that appears three to seven days after fever starts, usually beginning behind the ears and on the face and spreading down to the body and then to the arms and legs.
AHS notes the disease is highly contagious.
