Officials are investigating a plane crash that happened near Fort Vermilion on Saturday night.
RCMP received a report of the plane going down in a field northwest of the community.
Upon arrival of emergency workers, the pilot and sole occupant of the plane was deceased.
The crash also caused a power outage that lasted for several hours in the area.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will be investigating the crash.
