Seeding season is ahead of schedule and Nampa/Northern Sunrise County wants to recognize them for the work they do.
Farmer’s Appreciation Day is happening on Saturday at Mill Brown Park in Nampa, with a day of activities and fun scheduled.
At last report, about three-quarters of the crop is in the ground, which is over 20 percentage points higher than the previous five-year average at this time of the year.
With the ground softening up with the recent moisture, farmers are gaining the upperhand on the season, and are optimistic for a good yield in 2024.
But behind the scenes, Nampa/Northern Sunrise is wanting to thank them and their families for the hard work they do.
