- The town of Grimshaw has joined the town of Peace River, and other municipalities in expressing their concern over Bill 20.
Council has motioned to send a letter to Premier Danielle Smith regarding the bill that would allow the Province the ability to repeal bylaws and remove councilors from office. - The Misery Mountain Truck Raffle is underway, and tickets are already being sold at a good rate.

(Chris Johnson Interview on App) - The wildland firefighters’ union says Alberta has an under-staffed and under-trained wildfire force due to a recruitment and retention problem.
AUPE says high turnover means firefighters are leaving Alberta for similar jobs in B.C. or with Parks Canada, for more money, and more benefits and stability. - Alberta will receive $627 million from Ottawa over five years for continuing care. $280 million for home and community care services and $347 million for long-term care.
- Rallies are planned in eight cities and towns across Alberta on Saturday to protest the United Conservative Party.
Rallies are happening in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, Sylvan Lake and Vermillion. - Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, the truck driver responsible for the deadly Humboldt crash in 2018, has been ordered to be deported from Canada.

The Wheatbelt Baseball League sees the expansion Sexsmith Rainiers play two on the road tomorrow. At 11am, they play in Manning, and at 3pm, they play in Peace River.
On Sunday, High Prairie plays in Grande Prairie. - Week 4 of the Mighty Peace Basketball League plays on Sunday at Mile Zero in Grimshaw.
- NHL Playoffs tonight… Game 2 Florida is at the Rangers, with the Panthers taking the opening game. Edmonton plays in Dallas tomorrow.
- The Toronto Blue Jays play Game 2 of the weekend series in Detroit. Alec Manoah starts for the Jays against Matt Manning.
- Lots of Sunshine in the Northwest for today and tomorrow. Highs in the Peace and Mackenzie will be around 20 degrees, while the Big Lakes will feel 15.
Lows tonight will be around 5, and the Mackenzie could see some showers on Sunday.
