The Town of Peace River is under a River Ice Advisory.
The breakup of the ice cover on the river is expected to happen this week.
Warm weather is in the forecast and the slightly above seasonal temperatures are expected to continue the steady retreat of the Peace River ice front.
Water levels are expected to decrease as the ice front melts through town.
