NLC Grouard Campus welcomes Kapawe’no First Nation K-12 School

The Grouard Campus for Northern Lakes College will be busy in the upcoming academic year, adding Kapawe’no First Nation K-12 School into their halls.

Northern Lakes College is maintaining services and programming at the campus, and is relocating their classrooms to the western part of campus to accommodate the K-12 school occupying the eastern wing.

In a news release, President & CEO of Northern Lakes College, Dr. Glenn Mitchell commented on the changes; “Transitioning from high school to college can be a challenge for many students, but students from Kapawe’no First Nation K-12 School will just need to walk down the hall! We are always looking for collaborative ways to increase student participation in post-secondary education.”

The Kapawe’no First Nation K-12 School will be utilizing the cafeteria and recreation spaces of the campus.
