
On April 22, Alberta Health Services confirmed 306 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the province to 3,401.
Chief Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Deena Hinshaw says Sucker Creek is the first First Nations to report a case of COVID-19.
It was also reported that five people passed away.
66 Albertans have now died from COVID-19.
In the North Zone, there are 150 cases of COVID-19 and 14 people have passed away.
AHS is reporting that 1,310 people have recovered from the virus.
To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing one’s hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.
