The Municipal District of Greenview has its political leaders in place for the next year. Dale Smith and Dwayne Didow were acclaimed Reeve and Deputy Reeve respectively of the M.D. of Greenview at Monday’s organizational meeting. Smith return’s to the Reeve’s chair while Didow takes over for Winston Delorme.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to serve the Municipal District of Greenview in the position of Reeve. We have plans to carry on the excellent work accomplished by the Council in 2019 by continuing to move forward with vital improvements to Greenview infrastructure, roads, and investment in our communities. I plan to make it a priority to work as a team with Council, Administration, ratepayers and stakeholders to help move Council’s ambitious agenda forward.”
Didow says he is excited to serve in his new role. “I look forward to taking on this new role working alongside my fellow Councillors and administration to ensure that Greenview remains the ideal place to live, work and play.”
The M.D. of Greenview is led by 10 councillors. Council holds an organizational meeting each year to appoint: the Reeve, the Deputy Reeve, as well as various committee appointments.
