Northern Sunrise County has lifted fire restrictions for the non-forest protection areas.
The county is also accepting permit requests for open air fires. They can be obtained through the County Office.
There is still a fire restriction in place for Birch Hills County.
No large fuel burns are allowed.
Campfires or hand piled burns are permitted at this time.
There are currently two wildfires burning in Northwestern Alberta.
A fire North of High Level is listed as under control.
There’s also one East of High Prairie at the Grouard turnoff, which is listed as a Mutual Aid Fire.
