New recycling programs and initiative are coming into fruition in Alberta.
One new program is the recycling of Baler Twine.
It’s a pilot program that has a number of Collection sites in the province, including four in the Peace Region.
Davin Johnson is the Alberta Program Advisor of the organization, Cleanfarms.
It’s a non-profit environmental stewardship organization that helps stakeholders contribute to a healthy environment and a sustainable future.
He says the recycling programs are going well.
He also discusses the response to the program, further programs up and running, and goals for the organizations.
Collection sites in the Peace Region include at the Mackenzie Landfill, just west of High Level, the North Peace Landfill, north of Fairview, the Transfer station in Cleardale, and the Landfill in Clairmont.
