This past weekend in Saskatoon was the 2026 CCMA Awards awarding the best in Canadian country music. There was a nice mix of winners this year including Peace River born Cameron Whitcomb winning several including Entertainer of the Year and Male Artist of the year. Tenille Townes sadly didn’t win any solo awards but did win a couple for her team up with Nate Haller on the song “Backfire.” Sadly River Country didn’t take home Small/Medium Radio Station of the Year, but it is an honor to be nominated.
