Many Albertans are running into problems with mail-in ballots ahead of October’s Referendum.
Voters say the packages they’re receiving are incomplete, with some reporting that one or more referendum questions are missing from their ballots.
That’s raising concerns, especially because Albertans will be asked to vote on 10 questions in the October 19th referendum.
Demand for mail-in ballots has increased in recent weeks, as more voters look to avoid line-ups and crowds at polling stations on election day.
But for those receiving incomplete packages, there are questions about what they should do next — and whether they’ll be able to receive the correct materials in time.
Voters who believe their ballot package is incomplete are being urged to contact Elections Alberta for clarification before submitting their ballot.
