Valleyview Town Council tackled a wide range of issues at its July 13 meeting, including fleet management, bylaws, infrastructure, and community partnerships.
Council approved a limited lease program to help replace light- and medium-duty Town vehicles as needed. It also gave first reading to a new Land Use Bylaw, with a public hearing scheduled for August 10.
The Town updated its Recognition of Achievement Policy, increasing support for local residents, teams, and organizations competing at higher levels.
Council approved priority sidewalk upgrades within the existing $75,000 budget, renewed four years of funding for STARS Air Ambulance, and approved relocation of the arena penalty boxes, with the Valleyview Jets and Minor Hockey Association covering project costs.
Council also set September 15 for its first 2027 budget planning meeting.
