Peace River will be featured in an upcoming episode of 72 Hours to Survive, a nationally broadcast wilderness survival television series.
The six-episode series airs on Wild TV, reaching an estimated 2.2 million subscribers across Canada, while also being distributed internationally through digital streaming platforms. Peace River has been selected as the featured location for Episode 3, with filming scheduled for July 24 to 26.
The episode concept follows the host and a companion traveling in the woods and on the river, experiencing a simulated disaster, and spending 72 hours getting out of the area without engaging Search and Rescue services.
Town administration says the production will showcase Peace River’s natural beauty and outdoor lifestyle while generating local economic activity through accommodations, food, fuel, and other spending.
