PRE-EMPLOYMENT – Pre-employment programs at Northern Lakes College provide the skill set needed to enter the workforce and become an apprentice. Learn first year apprenticeship theory, receive your safety tickets, and obtain on the job training. NLC offers Pre-Employment Trades at several campuses, with student housing in Slave Lake, High Prairie, and Fairview! The ‘Fall ‘26 and Winter ‘27 offering dates are now available with applications opening later this month for Pre-Employment Carpenter, Electrician, Heavy Equipment Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Pipe Trades, and Welder.
