
Red Earth Creek RCMP responded to a violent early-morning incident on April 18th. Around 2:44 a.m., police received a call from a man reporting he had been punched, was bleeding, and that another male was attempting to stab him.
Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect nearby.
Mounties say the individual resisted arrest before being taken into custody.
Forty-nine-year-old Alex Julius Okemow of Peerless Lake now faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, assault, resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, and mischief.
He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Red Earth Creek on June 30th.
